Controller Issues. Dead Battery?

3 replies 56 views Edited Jun 13, 2013

I recently took my ps3 to a friends house and the controller worked, when I returned I pushed the PS button and no red lights came on, when I plugged in my ps3 the lights come on and indicate it works, and I can use the controller but I allowed it to charge overnight and it acts like it is dead. Any Idea what happened or how I can fix it?

You could open the controller to ensure the battery cable didn't come loose.

That's what I was thinking of doing but the controller is less than a year old, is there a warranty?

Yes, every DS3 has a one year warranty..... but Sony requires you have a reciept....

you CAN order a new battery off of ebay, they're like $5-10. Just make sure you get a brand name battery and not a generic one.
The generic batteries are more gray looking, the "legit" batteries are black.

Its easy to replace.
