Hello,
So my PS3 80GB (2USB) is approaching four years. Suprisingly, it has not had a single problem other than maybe a few freezes. However, the thought of getting YLOD crossed my mind and I would prefer not to pay $129 to Sony. Is there a third-party company who can completely "reball" my PS3 for a reasonable price?
After doing research Gophermods seemed to show up. Has anyone had experience with these people? Customers complained about a long wait time to get their PS3 fixed.

www.endlesselectronics.org would probably be your better choice...

Gophermods used to reball, but they got so backed-up they had to stop doing it for awhile. If you check you won't even see it there.
I recommend you go with Endless Electronics, they reballed my PS3 and it works great. They charge less than Sony plus give you a 2 year warranty on their work...
Do you know what their turnaround time is Logical, ball park?

I believe their turnaround is about a week after they get the system delivered to them. It used to be 3-4 weeks, but apparently they have streamlined how they operate and they have automated a few of their systems that help speed things along...

Thanks for all the replies. I would like to note the YLOD repair does not cost $80, but instead $110 because of the $30 check-in-fee. However, that 2-year warranty is so tempting and the fact they reball makes it even better.
Lastly, does anyone know if they do GPU fixes? Basically, if the GPU detaches from the motherboard (another type of YLOD) Gophermods does not fix this but Endless Electronics I am not sure.
