2/18/2014, both Sony Support and CinemaNow Support jointly confirmed that CinemaNow is no longer available on Sony devices, and they have no future date if CinemaNow will ever be available again on Sony devices. Sony Support said that in a future update to the PlayStation Network Store, they will remove their step-by-step instructions on how to download the CinemaNow App.
Edit: Added label News and Announcements
This sucks. I just lost access to my entire Ultraviolet library. Vudu is not available in Canada. Sony is a participating member of DECE and Ultraviolet but offers no way to watch their content on their own devices. CinemaNow was the only option, and it was decent too. I just spent the last year addind considerable to my library, now i cant even watch. Thanks Sony! I just spent money upgrading my PS3 too since it does (did) everything for me. Mistake? Now what?
Sony should link their PSN store to the Ultraviolet network. Then id be inclined to actually purchase movies through them. And i could watch them on my PS3, Sony Bluray players etc (maybe future PS4 if they get their head out of their **bleep**). I think sometimes these big companies go out of their way to make it difficult to want to give them your money.
Your kidding. I just bought another PS3 for my vacation property to be able to access my extensive UltraViolet library...does anybody know how to access ultraviolet now? Please help.
Huh, I can access Flixter through the PS3? I have not seen an app for that. How would I use Flixter to view Ultra Violet on my unit. Any help with this would greatly be appreciated. Thank You
