Even though it's just a name, PSN should have this feature anyway. It would be better then making a whole new account and losing all your gaming progress. They can make this as a notification like they do when when friends sign in and sign off for a example. When you changed your name the notification will pop up and say you changed your name from this to that. It's a good feature that PSN should have.

The PSN ID will always exist, but you can't change it, just make a new one.

Sadly we cant change PSN name. I would pay 10 bucks for a name change. Sony doesnt seem to like extra cash for some extra features like name change

There's a difference betwee changing your usename (which is possible) and changing your actualy PSN name , which right now is impossible. The OP is asking about the latter.

i find it retarded that you can change your name with a japanese account but not with an american/english account i want to change my name but then i think about all the trophies and the money i got tied up in the PS Store MAJOR FAIL on sonys part for not allowing american/english accounts to do this im going to call them about it i know the system comes from japan but that gives them the ability to change that player ID and not us **bleep**!
