I'm looking into NCAA 10 for the PSP after having NCAA 2005 on the xbox. Im interested mostly in the Dynasty Mode-does anyone know how it compares to the xbox NCAA 2005 game? Is this game better than Madden 10 or 11?
Also, there are a lot of games on UMD people wanna see on the PSN. I've noticed that most of the games added to the PSN are PSOne Classics or new games. So is it safe to say that games like FFTactics War of the Lions will never make it to the PSN..?
Whether NCAA 10 is better than Madden depends a lot on whether you prefer NCAA football or NFL football. The two franchises are not just the same engine with different teams and stadiums. The game-play is different also. The NCAA series tries to capture the things that people like about college football, including the greater variety of plays used, the significant differences between the playing styles of the various teams, and the less consistent performances of the players. NFL football is more strategic and disciplined, with all of the teams doing a lot of the same things. If you prefer college football to pro football, you will probably prefer the NCAA games. If you mostly watch pro football, then you will probably prefer Madden. If you watch both, you might want to buy NCAA 10 and Madden 11. Madden also makes more changes to game-play from year to year than NCAA does. Madden has an exclusive license from the NFL, so EA is sensitive to accusations that they are just exploiting the license by releasing the same game every year with roster and stadium updates. EA changes some significant element of the Madden game-play every year, just so that they can prove that they are still innovating even though they have a monopoly. That issue doesn't really exist with NCAA because no other publisher ever showed much interest in making an NCAA game. With NCAA, EA doesn't change the game just for the sake of change.
Different publishers have a different approach to the Playstation Store, so you can't really generalize. Sony, not surprisingly, publishes all of its current PSP titles in the Playstation Store. Square Enix does not, and even when it does, it won't keep them there if they don't sell as well as expected (for example, Final Fantasy I and II were in the Playstation Store, but were removed from the catalog). I wouldn't expect any Square Enix / Edios games that are in the PSP Favorites collection, including War of the Lions, to appear in the Playstation Store. It is hard enough to get retailers to stock these $10 games, without having the Playstation Store competing with them. Other large publishers, such as Tecmo / Koei often don't publish their games in the Playstation Store either. Publishers don't think that a dual retail / online sales strategy works well, as online distribution tends to make retailers less interested in stocking or selling your game; and most PSP games are still purchased at retail. Small publishers such as Aksys publish all of their PSP titles in the Playstation Store; but small publishers don't get much support from retailers anyway, so they have little to lose. As far as the back-catalog is concerned, all of the PSP publisher evaluated their past releases in 2009 when the PSP Go was announced, to determine which ones were likely to sell well enough to be worth converting to Playstation Store format. Those have been re-published by now, so don't expect to see more than a handful of back-catalog PSP games released as long as the PSP still has a retail presence. When the NGP is established and PSP games are no longer available at retail, we will probably see one last big wave of PSP games added to the Playstation Store. There is a good chance that the Playstation Store will get titles like Crisis Core : Final Fantasy VII, and Final Fantasy Tactics : War of the Lions at that time.
ok, thanks. im more interested in the answer to comparison of NCAA 2005-
