Can't Redeem $20 PSN Card

Ok, so I just purchased a $20 PSN Card from my Kroger store. I have the slip saying that it is activated, and when I type in the code, it reads it as a $20 card and asks me if I want to put it on my wallet. I then click Yes and it just stays there blinking on "Yes" and then says "An Error Has Occured". It's been doing this for the last couple of hours and I don't know what to do. Is PSN having any problems at the moment?

i get error 80023102. i also have a 20 dollar card thats not working it says cards good for 20 etc would u like to add then that error. idk **bleep** is going on i had 3 playstation classics i could not live without and now i gotta wait for someone to tell us whats going on

I'm actually on the phone with SONY, right now, and have this problem since morning; after going through the online support, found that it was probably best just to contact it by phone. The prompt said PSN is undergoing maint., so I held out until about 20 minutes ago. Tried again and nothing. So, now I'm on the phone. Neither of us can figure out what's going on, but he's looking into it as I type this reply to your post. Let you know more when I can. Hope this helps.

Its maybe worth reporting this to SCEA, their # is available at the bottom of this screen vis the 'Contact Us' tab.

I know its doesn't help either of you but I do know that you're not alone with this issue, so hopefully Sony is already aware & a fix is in the works.

Okay, update. Just finished the conversation with the SONY rep., and there is no resolution other than keep trying; he said other people have experienced the same problem and one of the customers actually waited until a time when not many people were online. She tried it when it was late and then the following day. On the next day the same message appeared. I don't know what else to do except to keep trying. Damn. Hope this helps.

Oh, one other thing. He explained the error code - it's a code telling people the PSN is down for maint. He was just as confused, since the network is operational.
