I have a backwards compatiable PS3 that have software version 3.41. About 3- 4 week ago from the time yhis post was written I have not been able to connect to the Playstation Network. I get a message that says after few seconds or a min. that "connection to Playstation Network has timed out". I have a wired connection to the internet, I have tried wireless connection as well after awhile of this problem 1st starting to see if it would work that way with no luck. Its able to aquire the IP address and internet connection, but when it gets to the part of the "internet connection test" of signing into the Playstation Network it fails cause it times out do to the time it takes to connect to Playstation Network. I have asked a few co-workers if they have had the same issue about 2 weeks ago and one has had it as well around the same time. I have not followed up with him to see if he was able to connect to the Newtwork recently. Has anyone else had or have the same issue and does anyone know what I can do about this?
Yeah the router is connected and I have rest the router a few times and still no luck. I have read on other post that the newtwork can be busy or over loaded at times but for the past 3 weeks I find taht hard to belive.
i have had the same issue for the past month or so. connection timing out or when i finally do get connected and start playing a game i get an error and it signs me out of the network. it is really annoying. don't know what to do but your not the only one.
No I don't get an error code it just says the connection has timed out to the PSN. I get the same message during the connection test when it gets to the part of connecting to the PSN, the 1st two test options pass.. (IP address and whatever the other one is) the 3rd part of the test is when it tries to connect to the PSN. Over the past 3 weeks I have tried to log in to the PSN. Sometimjes I'll try serveral times in a day and at times I'll wait a few days or so before I try again.
