Can I use a/v out of hdmi and av cables at same time?

5 replies 361 views Edited Jan 7, 2012

I want to hook my ps3 to 2 tvs at the same time. The console is hooked up at a flat tv with hdmi. I want to run av cables to a second room. Is the ps3 capable of outputting audio and video through both types of outputs at the same time?  Thank you all in advance for your help.

Video can only be output through one connection at a time.

Thank you all. The second tv isn't hd or I would just get the splitter. I've looked into hdmi-over-coax adapters but the are expensive. Having two outputs would have been perfect. Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Audio you can send via SCART and HDMI or Optical. but video, no.

why would you want to do this?

You're only going to get the same image.

This is not like a computer where you can have an expanded viewing area
