Bluetooth Keyboard

11 replies 179 views Edited Dec 23, 2012

I was wondering  can you hook a Bluetootkeyboard to the vita. I try but it asks me to put the pairing code for the device which I do not have , all other devices gives me a code to put in key keyboard.

I knew I've been forgetting to try something with my new vita.... lol   Let me try my Microsoft Bluetooth mobile keyboard 6000 (which works fine on the PS3).

ya..... my keyboard wont' work either. It works FINE on the PS3 cause the ps3 actually SHOWS the random passcode the keyboard generates everytime you go to connect it (pair it).  But the Vita doesn't, it ASKS you for the passcode, which doesn't help for **bleep** if it's random.......  I guess if your device doesn't have a random code but a set one that's the same every time it would work on Vita. Idk why the hell sony didnt' do this on the vita like they did on the PS3........

Edit: Ya I just tried my backup Bluetooth headset in the closet. A Jabra headset. It has a SET passcode (0000) as it's manual says. Had NO problem connecting it (but the volume through it at max sucks lol...).  So ya try whatever you want to use on the PS3 first. If it pops up random codes to type in when pairing.... it won't work on Vita. :/

I believe the bluetooth on the Vita is for audio use only.  The ability to hook up a keyboard would be nice (and it's possible that it could be added in a future update), but as of now, it is not possible.  Neither my Rocketfish nor my Apple Bluetooth keyboards are able to pair with my Vita.

the original keyboard is good enough. i understand using a keyboard on a home console cuz i use one on my 360. really though, vita dont need this at all. not even in a future update. sony has other things they need to fix with the vita.
