BluRay Remote

6 replies 151 views Edited Nov 18, 2013

So, when will we be getting a BluRay remote for the PS4, or a patch that allows us to use the one for the PS3?

I refuse to watch movies and Netflix using the clunky interface of the DS4.

With no MP3 or DLNA support, and a clunky movie remote for everything else, I will still be turning on my PS3 far more often then a PS4 for the foreseeable future.

Can you use your smartphone as a remote?

I am looking for an official Sony product thanks.  Along the same quality as the BluRay Disc Remote that was available for the PS3.

I have a question which may turn into a solution.......

Does the PS4 support HDMI CEC?

With my PS3 connected to my Tv via HDMI, I can use my tv remote to control the PS3.

Its great for navigating XMB, playing movies, listening to music, etc.

So if the PS4 and your tv both support CEC maybe try that and then skip the ps4 bluray remote.

Being angry that your gaming console focuses on gaming is kind of like being mad that your microwave focuses too much on warming up your food.
But the new model removed the light bulb and timer from the microwave, so now you never know when the foods done, so ends up burnt a lot or undercooked.

No My TV does not.  Still need a remote, or a patch.

Sony?
