Re: Black sharpie-like spot on brand new disc

Are you sure it wasn't like that when you got it?  I really doubt the system would do that, and even less likely since you say you have the super slim model, which doesn't even contact the top of the disc.

I've checked the inside of the system and everything was clean. It hasn't happened to any other disc yet. I'm about 90% sure it wasn't like that when I first put it in, but I was pretty stoked to play and might have overlooked it. Seems unlikely, honestly, but possible. The game does still work though, so no real harm done other than the hit to condition.

Actually I have been thinking about this. The fact the mark on one side of the disc and not smeared all over like the disc spinning in the console makes me think this was not your console, but a label printing error at 2K Games. This may be a rare item (sell on eBay?)!

Do not worry you are not S.O.L yet, you can clean that disc with an alcohol swab and a micro fiber cloth, this method should remove all that gunk without doing any damage to the disc, make sure the disc is completely dry before playing. I hope this helps.

I'm sorry to say this but your bioshock has cancer.
