BioShock VITA control Ideas

So though the vita has two sticks it is missing a few key pieces of hardware before it can be call a "shooter" system. Yes I enjoy my vita and I love it dearly but any time I want to change my gun or toss a grenade I must take my thumbs off the sticks and thus stop moving and hit the button. Back swipes are effective but the sensitivity often leads to accidental actions. Can you guys think of any solid control theme that could make this a really solid shooter? can a solid shooter be ported to the Vita?

For any other shooter game you have to take your thumb off to change weapons, I see no problem with this.

Only shooter that needs to be on the Vita is FTB 2 w/ manual aim mow that we have 2 analogs.

It's not really the changing weapons but in bioshock there are plasmids and you often need to change quick. that is what I want to know. on the other hand I look forward to see what irational is going to do with the hacking game considering the vita's touch controls would make a game like such fit pretty darn well.

As well, changing weapons and plasmids in the Bioshock games uses a selection wheel, which freezes time, negating any need for quickness. They could just do something like the inventories from the MGS HD Collection, where you just hold down the bottom corners of the touch screen for different items.

What if in order to change your plasmids or weapon you either swipe up/down on the left or right side of the back panel? Just imagine on the left is your plasmid, so on the back panel you swipe up or down to quickly change plasmids. Maybe while holding in the L trigger? Anyway I think when Irrational Games are ready to start work on Bioshock Vita they will find some really cool ways to play the game. They are a group of innovators over there.

If they ever start working on it. Nothing about the game has been known since the announcement in 2k11 and even then, shortly after that somebody from Irrational Games said in an interview that Sony asked them to make the announcement but that in reality they hadn't even begun working on anything even concept wise~.

Ya. They've said they've got a unique idea ready "on paper", but they've also said it's been put on the backburner until Infinite is out the door.
