You kno how phones have hotspot apps wouldn't it be killer if they came out with a app in the ps store that would let you turn your 3g connection into a hotspot i know it possible on phones because my bro used to do it for me

You can't just make an app that makes it a hotspot.

Hotspot creation always costs extra on data plans and such on phones.

And considering the lack of 3G support on most games (and the fact that all the newer bundles are Wifi only), it's quite clear they're not really doing anything with it.

It was never meant for anything other than social networking tools anyways

Well yea i know it cost a little bit more but it you could convert the 3g to a wifi signal you wouldnt need the game to be 3g compatible like for example on dungeon hunter i would like to be able to make sure im still №1 in the leaderboards but to even check you have to be on wifi and be on wifi to load up the new score

Even so, a 3G hotspot app for the Vita wouldn't help.

It would supply data and internet connection for OTHER devices, not itself.

Also, many games still can detect its not actual Wifi.

I believe people have tried playing Resistance Burning Skies with their 3G hotspot on their phone, and it doesn't connect because of the NAT type.

I havent tried resistance but ive tried dungeon hunter alliance and marvel vs capcom and they both worked but i guess you are makin a good case plus they probablly expect that someone who can afford a ps vita should be able to afford wifi which is not the case but im sure if they did come out with an app like that it would get some action because i bout my vita like the first week it came out expecting to play online on the go but that wasn't the case but i cant say im dissapointed in it because it still is pretty sweet

Vita has enough apps. the only thing needed is updates for the apps. people want the vita to just as good as a smart phone. im not sayig thats you, but thats a issue for a lot of folks. apps shoukd be that last thing we need. we need more games and we do have a good line up and hoping to see more titles soon for next year. what bugs me about the vita is, what the hell is the accessory port for? im still stumped on that.

well you got a vita somehow so im sure you can purchase a game. i only have 4 games, TM2, N.o.v.a., motorstormRC, and MK9. MSRC was free at launch. TM2 & nova. 10.99 for both and 9.99 for mk on sale. these are cheap games. you need to find sales. im getting COD BOD and im on a tight buget. but i saved a bit cuz i want COD BOD. i might even trade mk9 in for store credit towards COD. just to save a bit.

Well i got fired at income tax time so i knew if i didnt get it then i wouldnt have a chance to get one because i have no state id plus i got like 6 games but money is hard to come by

money is hard to come by, i do agree on that.i try to save cans and bottles for if i need extra cash i can get about a extra 40-50$. i just save whatever soda or beer cans i buy thru out the month. my bills are high but i dont let money get me down. the apps arnt really that great anyway. we get that free game tomorrow i think. that frobisher says. somethig like that.
