Best Performing PS3 Model?

Which PS3 model (fat, slim, super slim) is the best performing and longest lasting? Which one has the most chance to never die or mess up when playing games, etc.? My guess is the slim or super slim. I welcome personal experiences you have had with your model and how well it has performed and if you've had any problems. Thank you.

the best system out of all the ps3 is got to be the orginal 60GB model. Plays just about any ps1 and ps2 games. As for long lasting, either the slim or super slim. Have my 320GB slim since launch and still working fine. Not sure about the super slim as i dont own one.

Thanks for the reply. I don't care for backwards compatibility, just the durability and chance that hardware fails or YLOD, performance, overheating, etc. Thanks!

The best model for performance, quality and reliability is the Slim 160GB model.

No backwards compat for PS2, but it plays PS1 games though. Still, for reliability, i highly recommend the slim 160. Avoid any of the fat models.

I would say probably the slim(a lot of my friends have them, and haven't had any problems with them).
I use the super slim currently and its really loud when reading certain discs(uncharted 3 mainly) but it works fine.

I can confirm the noise for the PS3 Super Slim. Mine is only 8 months old and it is a screamer when i leave it on for a while. No problems for me though.

Would there be any difference if I got the 320GB version?

My slim is going fine. Mine is the 250gb one. I left it on for an entire weekend once with infamous running and it was fine

320GB Slim?

No. Its just the size of the HD that is different.
