Re: Best Final Fantasy?

My personal favorite at this time is Final Fantasy 12.  I say this because I have not yet played them all. All of the games are good and should not be compare to each other because they are so different.  But if you want a very deep and involved story with politcal intrigue, then Final Fantasy 12 is for you.

Re: Best Final Fantasy?

I've always liked FF IV. I've liked it ever since it was released as FF II on the Super Nintendo. It's really the first of the series to have a deeply involved storyline. When I first played it, I wasn't expecting that. Other than that, I have to say VII. Not only is it one of the greatest RPGs ever, it influenced all that came after it. Speaking of FF VII, does anyone remember back before the PS3 was released, Square-Enix said something about a re-release where they would update all of the graphics and such? Considering they way they have treated us fans of the series over the last few years, I can't imagine it is ever going to happen. Sad.

Yes, it was a tech demo that showed Cloud so many people thought a PS3 remake was in the works. That would have been a massive profit for Square and many systems sold for Sony if it became a reality.

Now that you mention that Cloud demo, I remember where that rumor started. Seriously, you would think that with so many fans of the series, Square would try to milk it for all they could. But its almost as if they don't care about it at all anymore. An example of what I mean is carelessly releasing FF III for the PSP when they had the chance to optimize it for the Vita, or better yet, cross play with the PS3. Then they add insult to injury by not including it in the sale last week. Just how many more people  do they think are going to pay full price for an inferior port now that its been out for a few months?

Oh I totally agree. I had no idea that FFIII was even ported over to the PSP. When I did happen to stumbled upon it I was like "what?! oh it's the DS version."
