Not a bad result actually.
A guy from NeoGAF forums made PS Vita’s battery test and the results are quite better than expected. The device lasted 4 hours and 29 minutes of gameplay. For comparison, majority of today’s laptops can only last a couple of hours of intense usage, smartphones can’t live any longer than a few hours of 3D gaming too.
Settings that were kept on test:
3G – on
WiFi – on
Bluetooth – off
Brightness – Maximum
NEAR auto updates – on
Headphones volume – 50%
Game – Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
original link (http://iamportable.com/ps-vita-battery-lasts-45-hours-with-3g-and-wifi-on/) who know's if this is actually true (in that I feel that it's a fanboy website). This isn't a concern because it's like i won't be away from a outlit or a computer for a while. I don't mind playing my Vita at home so that's why.
Thats good to hear, its very reassuring, even though it might have been stretched a bit. Im still getting the external battery, which i would assume lasts longer since the battery lasts longer on the vita.
That's good news, but with my PSP most of my games would be okay, but then I'd play something like God of War Chains of Olympus and it'd drain in about half the time it'd take to drain if I were playing something like Wipeout.
Yep, test was done with highest settings possible. So 3 hours 47 minutes (my bad) is actually a lot of game time. How many times are you actually going to be playing for 3 hours away from home.
