And because of turbo controllers they nerf semi-auto guns so people with fast trigger fingers can't fire as fast. Smiley Sad

You can do it if you hold R2!

Yes, which is annoying.

I use the SVU in Ghosts, and it's annoying because the maximum fire rate is around 550 RPM, and that's really easy to break.

So I end up shooting slow.

Only you can't.

The guns in COD, for example, have a fire cap.

If you exceed that firecap, the gun is "oversampled", and jams up, and you shoot slower than the maximum possible fire rate.

For the 360 and PS3, they made chips with settings specific to most popular shooters so you could at least reach that cap consistently with no effort. Some games (GTA4 for example) also do not have much of a cap, so you literally can shoot 20-30 bullets per second.

Not like that matters, because the fire caps are low enough that literally anyone that can mash a button, can reach that limit.

I don't have a great trigger finger, and even I can reach the firecaps.

There is no need for a turbo controller unless your finger gets tired within a few seconds of play. It's not really cheating. It's just laziness.

Plus, since every gun has a different fire cap, you'd have to program so many different fire rates (the pistols have around 600-700RPM, the marksman rifles were around 500-600RPM, etc)

So you're saying that being able to consistently reach that cap without going over isn't an advantage? You're also not going to hit 30 bullets per second no matter how hard you try.

How can you be satisfied if you cheat to win?

30 bullets per second = 1800RPM

As I said before, each semi-auto gun in COD has a firecap. Typically around 600RPM or less (sometimes as low as 400RPM)

So it's less than 10 bullets per second.

Which, also, would cause the gun to recoil quite high since most semi-auto guns in COD have high recoil because of their high damage and lower fire rate.

Also, most Marksman rifles (the ones you'd use this on) have only 18 rounds in their magazine by default. So there goes all your bullets in 2 seconds. Assuming you even stay on target.

Which means if you face off against two enemies or more, you're screwed.

Also, putting semi-auto on any of the Assault Rifles, reduces their rate of fire (as of the 1.08 patch), to, again, 400-600RPM.

So no matter what you do, NO gun fires 30 bullets per second. Not even close to that.

@ glaciusx25 - You realize that COD isn't the only shooter out there, right? Go play GTA4, then come back and tell me no gun fires 30 bullets per second. Smiley Wink

He (OP) want a turbo controller for the PS4.

GTA4 is on the PS3.
