Appearent touchscreen problems plus more?

11 replies 15 views Edited Feb 15, 2012

Ive been reading the forums, and noticed a few users are having trouble with their touchscreen not working, and a very large majority of others users having an error when downloading.

Can stuff like this all be fixed with an update, or is the hardware....idk, bad?

thoughts? comments?

these issues were present on the japan launch, updating to the most current firmware version will fix the problem

There must be a faulty in the firmware that needs to be inspected. I hope Sony fixes these problems before they become offical next week.

No Sony needs to fix it sooner than next week. They have systems on the streets already that people paid MORE for so they can get them early. The way I see it, the Vita is officially out since it is available if for a price.

Like I said, if they could make it before Sony fully releases Vita, this wouldn't have happened. I think right now Sony is trying to fix the problem as we speak, so let's hope for the next patch to resolve these issues before the true launch.

My Vita's touchscreen acted all wonky from the moment it was first powered up.  It got to the point where I couldn't even put in my PSN credentials, and this was after updating the firmware.  I couldn't close any hints, and I couldn't do things like type the letter "s".  My wife, who gave it to me as a gift, has to now go back to Best Buy to swap it out.
