Here, a real response
Anywhere that is open enough for ventilation and flat
Same as the PS3 camera, as far as I know... top or bottom of the TV, depending on the height of the TV.
I have my TV wall mounted, so that the top of the (42") TV is right about 6 feet high, and the PS3 camera works perfectly mounted on top of it. The camera, with the angle adjuster set at wide, has about a 100 degree field of vision. Very little adjusting of it is needed to switch between a stand up/move around game like Sports Champions and a sit down type of game like Tumble.
Obviously, you would need to put the camera at the bottom of the TV if you have your TV mounted above a fireplace mantle or something, where the top of the TV is 8-10 feet up.
