Any problems I should be aware of?

6 replies 334 views Edited Jan 3, 2014
I have a PS3 Super slim and want to know what to watch out for and what problems are common. I also want to know I can leave it on from 9PM to 6:30 AM for game downloads. If there is...a low power state like the 360 but without overheat possibility.

Clean your PS3 for dust every month. You get all the dust out of it, the smoother the PS3 runs and won't overheat.

1 - No bright lights

2 - Keep it away from water

3 - Never ever feed it after midnight

It does not have to be done monthly unless you life in a dust bowl. The best way to clean a gaming console is to take it apart and clean all the dust and crude out of it. Its a PITA to do this monthly. At the most Id clean it out every six months to a year or yearly after the warranty is out.

Well, are overheating issues common? if I have it sideways in a close tv stand blowing halfway out will that be ok?
