And the Best "Surprise" game goes to......

30 replies 592 views Edited Dec 12, 2013

Resogun

Why?

For me Resogun reminds me of the beginning of gaming with modern day graphics and effects.

It's a mix between Defender from the 2600 days and a horizontal Galaxian, sprinkled with Asteroids.

A Truly remarkable game in my mind. I don't think the developers have gotten enough credit.

It's replay value is endless.............And It's Free!

In saying that this game will be a classic for me. Thanks Sony

Courage is saddling up, even though your scared to death.

Atari 2600, ColecoVision, NES, Genesis, Saturn, Sega CD, PS1, PS2, PS3 (2), DS, PSP, 360, PS4, VITA

If this was an atari console or an iphone game then sure it is a good game.

This is a latest generation playstation 4 with supposedly superior graphics. Resogun looks like it was made as a highschool programming project.

As such this is the worst game on PS4 and I am embarassed to have people see it.

Someone either has no clue how complicated it is to run billions of particles on the screen at 1080p, or they simply suck at Resogun.

Hard to figure out which one it is.

Being this is one of his three total  posts, I'm guessing he's a troll.

Resogun is awesome. It doesn't look that pretty but.. It sure is the best PS4 game right now.

I just wish it was easier.. Then again I guess if I wasn't getting my butt handed to me I would have finished it and ignored it.

Pfft.. Atari console.. The 2600 was probably the best console ever created, if it's not it's only behind the NES, SNES, Genesis and PS1. Top 5 isn't bad.

Resogun is a visual spectacle in my opinion. All of those practical effects are happening in real time. Nothing is baked in. The game never slows down despite all of the chaos happening on the screen at once. That being said, as much as I love Resogun, Puppeteer gets my best surprise game award. If you own a PS3, it is one of the best games of 2013 and everyone that loves platformers should play this game.

O.o

Maybe something is wrong with my version of it then... I'm getting frame dips when it gets chaotic. I just assumed it's to be expected.

3rd post because I just bought the ps4. If people are happy with awful games like this then don't be surprised if game companies stop putting the effort into making good ones. Soon games of resogun quality will be selling for $100. I really regret spending $400 for this PS4. At least the xbox360 it wasn't a money grab, you got things.
