Agreed. it a matter of games, which im my opinion The xbox one cannot match long term due to the fact that Microsoft lacks the first party creativity.

CoD and BF4 are unknown for the Xbone at this point, and if you think launch games utilize the strength advantages of the PS4, then you have a lot to learn about gaming, game engines, tools and hardware.

Oh, and Killzone runs at a higher framerate than 30fps in SP and is more open. Killzone has more going on with a higher amount of detail in the environment at 1080P than that 900P linear corridor QTE button masher in RYSE

This thread was obviously started just to troll and start a war.

Don't feed the troll, guys.

Thank you Sony, for putting gamers first. It's good to be back!

X1 yields and allocations are terrible right now as well. Sony is way ahead again.

Killzone Shadowfall runs at 1080p 30frps with unlocked fps for single-player and 1080p 60fps for multiplayer.

Re: An Objective Comparison between Xbox One and PS4

Oct 26, 2013

Here is an objective comparison of the Xbox One and PS4. I can't provide sources, but if you follow "Many Videogames" and "Eurogamer" on Twitter and sift through their tweets you will find them.

Top 5 features of the Xbox One that PS4 cannot match:

-Substantially more powerful CPU

This has not been proven at all
-Marginally faster RAM write speed, better quality RAM for writing (saving)

This might be true since it's DDR3 and the PS4 uses GDDR5 which is mainly used for games while DDR3 is mainly used for system memory
-HDMI In with many multimedia applications

Yes this is true though at the same time it is said that TV capabilities will only work with some ISPs and countries.
-Established Cloud Service with 300,000 servers

This is one step I can see being really nice but I do question it somewhat. Like where is it located or is it spread around to different parts of the world? Imagine that it's located on the other side of the world from you, your latency to it might (Depending on your ISP and network structure) very high.
-Voice/Motion Controls in-package, better quality hardware in Kinect

More of a gimmick than anything. I find their vision of like futuristic movies and game ideas a bit better on screen than in person. I would just feel like the lonely guy that needed someone or even at that point SomeTHING to talk to. Like maybe is there was a Jarvis in your house and controlled nearly everything, then yes that would be neat, otherwise it just looks/sounds sad.

The kinect was something I would see useful outside of games to be honest. Medical and innovations in other fields than locked on a system. It's not using USB anymore but a proprietary port for the Kinect. As much as people want to claim it's not a waggle camera anymore.... It still is since you're still waggling your limbs in front of it.

Top 5 PS4 features the Xbox One cannot match

-Substantially more powerful GPU (UPDATE: Microsoft's Overclocking makes the difference marginal)

And it's pretty sad that XB1 is looking more like a 360 with a small facelift since the word is that games on the PS4 will be running 900p-1080p while XB1 is needing a scale chip to make their 720p look 1080p... It just wont be the same as native 1080p. Also from somewhere I heard that the XB1 will reduce resolution if need be to keep the framerate..... sad sad sad.
-Large Indie lineup
-Removable (upgradeable) HDD
-Substantially faster RAM read speed (will load saves quicker), better quality RAM reading
-Flagship Exclusive launches on launch day (Killzone)

Can't decide? Here's a few facts:

The PS4 has an interior power brick, whereas the XB1 contains an exterior brick. While this decreases space usage, it will increase noise and be more difficult to replace should the brick die.

The Xbox One AND PS4 will run CoD: Ghosts 1080p 60fps (As declared by Microsoft and Sony at E3)

That was back at E3 and apparently as of more recent it's said that the XB1 will actually be running at 720p and PS4 at 1080p with XB1 using the scale chip to emulate the 1080p look. Though this could all just be as we know rumors

They will both run BF4 at 900p 60fps.

Actually there's really been no confirmed resolution on them at this point

http://www.examiner.com/article/battlefield-4-1080p-native-resolution-support-for-ps4-and-xbox-one-d...

The PS4 will not require PS+ to use streaming apps like YouTube and Netflix. Xbox One will require Gold.

Both Microsoft and Sony have declared their allegiance to Indie Studios. Sony have shown evidence with a large indie launch lineup, but Microsoft offers TWO free XB1 devkit consoles to registered Indie developers. In addition, for unregistered players who want to go developer, every Xbox One is a native devkit that can be utilised with a free development program launching on November 22.

Xbox One can use SmartGlass with iOS, Android, Windows 8, Windows RT, Windows 8.1, and other tablets. In contrast, the PS4's Remote Play will only work with a PSVita.

Both consoles require a day-one update.

The PS4 costs 400USD, whereas the XB1 costs 500. In Brazil, the XB1 costs 1000USD, and the PS4 costs 1800. Yes, 1800. Wow.
Currently Sony is talking with their government to come up with some kind of deal about that.
Neither console has region locks.

The PS4 supports external hardware saves at launch. This feature will come later on Xbox One at an undisclosed date.

Your data can transfer from 360 to One and from PS3 to PS4, such as trophies or game stats on cross-gens.

You can upgrade a cross-Gen game from 360/PS3 to One/PS4 on both consoles for 10$. However, with Xbox you will have to visit a store to swap them. Playstation can be done digitally by internet or in store.

PS4 holds 15 minutes of your last gameplay. Xbox One holds 5, but includes a video editing service.

Nothing has been shown yet if the PS4 will have a video editing app or not.

Neither console has DRM except on digital games. Both have digital DRM, but on Xbox it can be streamed from Azure at a friend's house with a connection for free.
Technically untill the Day one update on XB1 they will all still have that insane DRM while the PS4 can play games in offline singleplayer without that update.
Neither console will have Third-Party headset support at launch, but in Q1 2014 the Xbox One will receive a headset adapter. No word on PS4 support.

Hi is not right at all about the ram, in fact he is wrong about many of his points, xbox troll who just joined because he is butt hurt the x1 is over priced, weak.

Lets not get into the uselessness of it being able to be a cable box ONLY if you hook it up to your existing cable, and pay for live and your cable.............Whats the point? Just use your existing cable, unless pressing 1 button is to hard Americans. People already have a tonne of cable options, useless feature is useless.

His info from e3 is outdated and has changed.

He has zero clue about hardware, stating a tiny couple precent overclock in clock speeds makes the PS4 gpu power difference minimal..Simply not true. That is not how it works. The GPU is full of shader units and other processors, Cores, memory speed and bandwidth. All of which gives the PS4 a significant advantage....A tiny overclokc will give you 1-2 FPS difference. If you ever overclock a PC you will know this.

Unless it was the old 4800 line of videocards which oddly enough a 50MHz overclock on that 4830 made a 10-20fps boost at times... though now it takes 100+MHz to really see a difference like that.
