Well they do lack upscaling, tons of memory card space, convenience, and support wireless controllers
The few games I tried the "upscaling" was more scale than up. The other thing about "convenience", that's become more of an excuse than a legitimate reason. Just about all televisions sold have multiple inputs now, and you can connect another device very easily. All of the other things like wireless controllers and memory cards can be had easily.
Really though, I don't want to sound mean but you had your chance (and I mean the figurative "you", and not you literally) five years ago. That ship has sailed, and it's not coming back.
I'm struggling to understand your point. If it's someone's first console, you have no PS2 games, ergo, you don't need BC. BC is for those that have older games they still want to play.
I meant if a ps3 is someones first console i think that should keep backwards compatibility so people dont have to
And I wish I could have actually remembered when The Beatles were together, and not have been born after they broken up. Time moves on my friend.
If this is someone's first console, then going back and playing ten year old games is not going to be a huge selling point. And there's certainly no profit in it either.
the BC ps3's have never really interested me in anyway and don't feel like im missing anything at all lol,i like the feeling of turning on a old system and playing it,i even play my ps1 games on my ps1 and play my ps2 games on the ps2 lol and even if your tv don't have all kinds of inputs you can get a switchbox that will let you add up to 4 additional devices and if you want even more just link 2 together and get 7..lol
Go buy a brand new PS2..... they are dirt cheap, and cheaper than dirt on craigslist and ebay.
I really wish we had more active moderators locking redundant threads
gR3yGh051 you're always so "pleasant" in your posts.
perhaps you are volunteering for the gig of "redunancy-locker upper" then?
or do you just need to voice your displeasure at another misguided souls efffort to post here on the PS3 forums... AGAIN?
i have not really ever seen the big deal about having a BC ps3,it's very easy to get a ps2,i see them all the time for 25-35 bucks on craigslist,i have one hooked up and 2 more fatty's sittin in the closet ready to go lol and same goes for ps1,i don't even play those on my ps3..i use my ps3 for ps3 games pure and simple...
