All PS+ Items to date (7/12/11 update, #40). Complete list in post #2

40 replies 282 views Edited Jul 15, 2011

Here is this weeks update, the 40th update thus far. Enjoy!

The Sumer Sale items are listed, but the numbers are based upon what PS+ members save over a non PS+ member.

I am debating adding more information to the tables listed. If you have any further ideas for stats please let me know and I'll see what I can do.

HELP: In another topic, The-Undead-One mentioned that I am missing Qore 31, 32 and 34. I have found Qore 34, but looking at past store updates I can't find when Qore 31 and 32 were released. So if you happen to know when these were released please let me know so I can add them to the list.

Re: All PS+ Items to date (3/22/11 update, #28)...$412.06 of free items thus far ($14.72 free per update, $41.21 per month), $386.28 saved from discounts!

One lill problem when your Sub ends you don't get to keep all those quote on quote Free games anymore lol About the only thing good on the PSN + is the discounts too bad the discounts are for crappy games or DLC. Very seldom do they have discounts for stuff ppl would actually want.

Re: All PS+ Items to date (3/29/11 update, #29)...$438.02 of free items thus far ($15.10 free per update, $43.80 per month), $396.76 saved from discounts!

Mar 30, 2011

This weeks offerings have been posted.

This week we saw the offering of three items of repeat content. Thus far this there as been 4 items that have been offered repeated times. This brings up the question on how I should account for these repeats. As it currently stands, their values are added to the YTD totals. I am thinking that it would be best to list them they way that I have done so, but just not add them to the YTD total. Does this sould like a good method or do you have some other suggestions? Your input would be most appriciated.

You could always put an * by the ones that have repeated. Many new subscribers will be getting them for the first time.

And thanks for the spreadsheet. After I got done looking at it one day, I decided to get PS+......I only had money for the 3-month at the time, but I definitely plan on getting the year after it ends...

Sony should give you a commission ..

Thanks for putting this together. I had been teetering on whether or not to get a subscription for awhile and this what sealed the deal. I looked all over online for a list of previous free plus games and I am glad somebody took time to do it! I think more people would subscribe if they could see all the free stuff Sony has already given Plus members. Great and helpful post!

I suggest that on your spread sheet you add two columns - repeat (or some such) and repeat notes.  repeat = Y or blank; notes = you can put the date(s) each time something is repeated and other related notes.

Tracking discounts for repeated items is tricky because someone may not have been a subscriber the first time (or the second or third ...) the free item was last offered.  If you add the repeat column, you can make two discount summaries.  One that shows all discounts to-date, while the second summary omits any repeated items.  You may have to write a macro to exclude rows that have repeat = Y. Of course this falls apart as soon as an items is offered 3+ times ... which means you would have to list each offering on a separate row.

Thanks for keeping the list updated!

Re: All PS+ Items to date (4/5/11 update, #30)...$423.04 of free items thus far ($14.10 free per update, $38.45 per month), $406.75 saved from discounts!

Apr 6, 2011

Here is this weeks update, the 30th update thus far. Enjoy!

I have decided to not count the value of the repeated items for the "total numbers", but they are still listed on the spreadsheet. This is why some of the total values have changed. To account for the number of items offered, I have added "repeat items" to the total numbers table. I figure this is the most fair way to maintain a list theaccurately accounts for what the value of PS+ is.

I am also debating adding more information to the tables listed. I'm prettey certian that I am going to make a new table that list total free items, total discounts, and total items for each month. This should make it eaiser for people to determin their value of PS+ should the join at a later date. Should you have any further ideas for stats please let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Here is this weeks update, the 31st update thus far. Enjoy!

I am debating adding more information to the tables listed. I'm pretty certain that I am going to make a new table that list total free items, total discounts, and total items for each month. I am disappointed with PS+. Yes, you get games free. But they give you two weeks to download them or you will have to pay for them. I think they should keep up the free game for about two months.

Yes they only give you 2 weeks on most content.  But how difficult is it to download those items in the 2 weeks?  Even if your internet is not fast, start and stop the download.  Then the items will be in your Download list for you to download any time for free.
