Don't forget to reboot for 3G to start working. Later on you'll get the official notification on your Vita that you have successfully set up the service.
For you guys who are having difficulty with the buyasession site, see if it's not your browser. I had a heck of a time on it when I was using Chrome a few months ago when I was researching the Data Pass plans. When I switched to craptacular IE it worked without a hitch. So just for that one instance, you'll have to suck up the MS Kool Aid.
Oh and Near gets extra creepy when you have 3G. You get msgs like "14 people playing nearby!" while out and about.
How did you get it to finally work? Did you do it through the site or through the Vita app thing? And lastly did you do anything special on the method you got to work?
I did it on the website (the link provided in the first page). It is much faster, and I don't know if this has anything to do with working or not, but most of the time I got an error was when I did NOT input my credit/debit card information. Once I clicked the CONSUMER button (or something like that) in the page where they ask you for your name, email, address, etc. it opened up the credit/debit card info boxes and I filled them in... and it worked.
You could try that, but I'm not sure if that is what made it work. Best of luck, you guys!!
That's what I've been doing since like noon yesterday with no luck : / I called Sony who told me to call AT&T who then told me(after being escalated to tier 3 support) to go to an AT&T store to get my SIM card replaced -_- this whole fiasco is just annoying me
does there need to be a phone number displayed in system? whenI called for support they told me the issue was the phone number was blank and to reseat the sim card, ddid that and no luck. not getting any sim car errors.
I have been doing the same thing over and over since yesterday- trying to register. But today I was successful. I just got the 250mb just to try it out. I did it online, which is much faster than the VITA's small screen. I love my VITA y'all.
