50% More " powerful " is a line sony is using to market, it does not translate into actually 50% better or even that much of a difference.. remember that most cross platform games were even capped by developers this gen? Even if this were to not happen this generation with current televisions and the specs provided from both sides I would be surprised if you could see a difference in games at ALL.. it has also been said that the PS4 may work unnecessarily harder and that doesn't always mean something good.

Not if the PS4 will have better specs. It may be written as an opinion, but it is actually a fact. :smileywink:

Forbes would like to talk with ya, read all the article or at least the bottom of it.

Oh and specs are better on PS4, here's another article for you to read. Enjoy!

http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/reviews/game/3452022/ps4-vs-xbox-one-comparison-review/

PS4 will actually be 8 cores for games, 7GB of Fast Gddr5 ram available for games (1GB set aside for OS), No GPU used for OS (additional dedicated hardware has been put inside for video out for the OS, just like there is a dedicated chip for remote play streaming).

Xbox One will have 6 cores for games (2 cores set aside for the OS) , 5gb of slow DDR3 ram (3gb set aside for OS), 10% of gpu will be used for the OS. Yeah, the PS4 has better specs, sorry to burst your bubble.

http://ps4daily.com/2013/04/playstation-4-developers-7-gb-ram/

http://gimmegimmegames.com/2013/05/microsoft-confirms-xbox-one-os-uses-3gb-ram-5gb-ram-for-games/

Knowledge is power, the PS4 has plenty of power.

P.s. Dualshock 4 touch pad a clickable button, multiple sites state it, here's one:

http://playstationgang.com/ps4-dualshock-4-touchpad-is-also-a-button/

Would like to add that while the additional esram may help things with the Xbox One, it sadly isn't enough compared to the PS4 tech. While 1080p native will be for the PS4 with no upscaling, Xbox Ones downgraded tech will only be 720p again (but will be native standard) with only a few games possible for 1080p native, but upscaling will be standard.

No problem, some here really need to do their homework. The PS4 literally is an excellent piece of tech compared to Xbox One. It strikes me oddly when I see a few people on this forum not interested in the core aspects of the console and what it can do and instead focus on one or two negatives of the console (according to them, you know the two topics of PS4 some like to cry about here), compared to the many blunders of the Xbox one.

My PlayStation  friend list is not full btw if anyone wants to add me :smileywink:!

I cant wait for the PS4 and I would expect that PS4 would be able to play PS3 games. You all know the PS3 Plays PS1 games so it could be the same and being that the Vita which can play PS4 games can also play PS1 games and PS3 games it will probably be the same but they will be PS3 "classics".

no, the ps4 will not play ps3 games however, IT SHOULD, play ps1 and ps2 games just fine. The ps4 uses x86 architecture which is great, which is what computers use. I believe that the ps1 and ps2 were also x86. The ps3 had a complex cell chip made by ibm.

What dooes this mean?

* There should be a ps4 emulator out for pc pretty much straight away. It will be incredibly easy.

* The cell chip on the ps3 is very complex, which is why there even to this day is no emulator (there is for pretty much every other console). It is just too hard. Because of this, ps3 games will not work on ps4. Cell was a big mistake by sony.

* Games will work very well on the ps4 due to x86

* Consoles (particularly ps3) will not longer hold back pc gaming with its horrible console ports from cell to x86.

No, if you had been keeping up with how backwards compatibility is going to be, it's going to be purely streaming only via the Gaikai services, which the first roll around will be streamable PS3 games by 2014, others will follow.

1. The PS4 will require PlaystationPlus for "Multiplayer" gameplay. This does NOT follow onto anything else on the PlaystationNetwork.

Sorry but that's incorrect, it will but only if the developer says so, so most yes, but NOT all multiplayer games will require a PS Plus Subscription.

Also the other poster da1writer didn't post their own poll just a link to an external third-party poll, they broke no Forum rules 514!
