Re: 4g ps vita worth it?

my iPhone 4S says I have 4G, which happened after iOS 5.1 dropped... and i'm with AT&T... but that's just AT&T's "4G"... it's not really 4G LTE... and the 4G that I have is no different in speed than any iPhone 4 or less which is running 3G... it's only faster because of hardware... so... with that said.. this is just AT&T saying that their speeds are "like" 4G and so they decide to post their 3G units as 4G... but they are not.

Yeah, that's HSPA+

My Galaxy S3 has both HSPA+ and LTE support (when I have LTE, it says 4G LTE in the corner, instead of just 4G).

Re: 4g ps vita worth it?

Here is the deal everybody. I got my ps vita about a week ago. Instead of buying one from att i jus got a 3g one from gamestop for 215. Basically it is only like 4g because it gets up to 4g hspa sometimes. You dont even have to put in a different sim card for it to do this. So really its just a lil faster than 3g. No lte just hspa.

Funny how it's rumoured that there will be a newer revision of the PS Vita, most likely with 4G, according to wololo.net,

A new Sony patent filed shows what could be a new model of the PlayStation Vita. Along with that sources are claiming that the new vita will be 4G and launch along side price cuts for memory cards. On February 7th, 2013 the US Patent and Trademark Offices published a patent from Sony showing what looks to be a new PlayStation Vita model. Sony’s patent was filed in the US under serial number 55977. The new PlayStation Vita design shown in FIG 2 below supports a completely resigned bottom with new ports and readjusted placements. Sony states that the patent is for mainly a port redesign for the “Next PlayStation Vita The application shows specifically that the next generation Vita will incorporate an all new USB port, HDMI and power supply connector which is described as a parallel-pipped connector. ”.
