So, Ive been a gamer for, well let's just say I have consoles older than most of you on this forum...Ok accept maybe you 40 something lurkers out there...Anyway, I have supported Sony products in general all my life, Ive just always enjoyed Sony's "style". So when it came to gaming, I owned a PS 1 and 2. When PS3 came out, I went Xbox, why? Well cause that what all my friends had bought, and I wanted to game with them, and peer pressure is a mo-fo. Ive had a really great 10 years over in Xbox land, made some good online friends.
But in recent months, I decided on a whim to buy a new PS3. I figured this was a great time to buy one and go back and play great games like Demons Souls, Metal Gear series, and Infamous, just to name a few. Plus I just had to play The Last Of Us in July!
I have to say, I really like the PS3 interface and online store. I hear from so many people that the PSN store sucks, but I find it really easy to find what I'm looking for, compared to XBL. And when it comes to XB exclusives compared to PS? Id wished I would have gone PS...Gears of War and Halo, your not missing much in my opinion.
I have not made any friends on PSN yet, or really played any MP games, so I cannot comment on the online community. So to the point of this rant, Ive been thinking, this fall, despite not seeing what Xbox will be bringing to the party, Im thinking about coming back home to Playstation, and will be buying a PS4.
Ive read alot of posts about how alot of feel like you have gotten the shaft from Sony this console cycle, and while I was not there to feel you pain, Im hopeful that the next 10 years with PS4 is going to be awsome. I will miss my friends on XBL, but that's life.
Please, if you like add me as a friend, see you at Launch.
