He's convinced me. Think I'm going to dump all my classic rock FLAC files and search the web to purchase the 8 track cassettes.

This arguement is generally only used when trying to justify a lower quality purchase decision.

All 5 PS3 games I have here are 30FPS but it fits the gameplay so I don't care.

It depends on the type of game. 30FPS belongs to story-driven games, RPGs, racings, action games (to make it like watching a movie) while 60 is for live sports games, simulators, indies, and platforms.

I don't care. If the game is good, I forget about the graphics. I concentrate more on the game. 30fps is still better. U won't notice that much difference between 30fps and 60fps.

I care.

I accept both, but I prefer 60FPS, which is the main reason that I get most of the games (depends on genre though, and is it an exclusive or not) on PC.

30FPS is fine too, but it would be nice if the games actually managed to keep it that way. Too many framedrops and it just gets annoying. We have games that run with a stable, 30 FPS, look really good and have short loading times.

Then there are games that don't look that good AND have frequently framerate drops, or awful loading times.

I mean, look at the Uncharted series, TLOU, FF XIII, Killzone series (Well, it's been years since I played it, don't remember how well it ran) etc. All these run really well, and look good.

Now go play some Dark Souls (Blighttown anyone?), Dead Rising 2, or whatever. Yuck.

So what I really want is that if they decide to lock games at 30, or 60FPS, then make sure the games can also constantly manage that. It's understandable if the framerate drops happen when there's lot of stuff going on, but please, does it have to happen when there *isn't* much going on?

i would much rather play the single player story of DOOM then BF4 or BF3 story mode anyday or even doom 3 . the first 2 are better but look bad to todays standard. the whole 24 player online or 64 player oonline is stupid to kids saying i cant imagine playing bf4 with only 24 players . lol ya operation metro or that other map that came with bf4 would be hell witth 64 players it already is with 24

I really liked Doom 3. I liked the previous ones too though.

Doom 3 is a test for Quake 4 though. That game was also pretty good.

Doom and Quake have been leeching off each other since they both began.

But sure. Doom is way better than Battlefield, Doom is way better than most games today. Not graphically. It's mightily ugly, but in entertainment value it surpasses a lot of games.

I don't even need 60FPS anyway. I don't see a problem with where we were. As for that video, once again when he askes to if I could see the difference. I certainly couldn't see any difference in 30 or 60.

I don't really care too much, as long as it is at a constant 30/60fps. *looks at Thief >:[*
