What "help" do expect with a supposedly "dead out of box" PS3 from forum users, unless you're just here to complain?

Id say if you are being legit... your local walmart might have got a bad batch or if u google walmart they where in the news lately throwing ipads around the stock rom like they are nothing.. walmart employees are careless about the product so the ones you picked up could have been thrown and dropped a few times. Id go to best buy or gamestop if you have one near by.

I am sure the PS3 superslims are exactly the same systems that have been available for weeks just with different pack-ins. If this disc reading issue was a widespread problem, we would have heard about this a long time ago...

Just take the thing back, none of us get paid from Sony to trouble shoot your defective PS3. If you have the receipt, which you should, take it back, they will give you a new one, who knows maybe if fell off the truck.

Well, to avoid calling you a troll, I'll just say that yes, you are the most ungodly out-of-luck new PS3 owner I've ever seen. Keep returning it, maybe Walmart will eventually give you a functional one and...

i got a 200$ bundle from a Hastings Entertainment, it's not even downloading the sofware for the store. took it back after PS told me to (they couldn't help much either) and my new one is doing the same thing. it's probably just the update, and not just walmart employees being annoying.

I find that extremely hard to believe. Sony would have gave you the choice of getting an exchange at the store, or sending it to them for a repair.

 

Theres really NOTHING that the end user can do to fix a PS3 if its still under warranty except exhange it or send it for a warranty claim.

hey guys im a owner of SS ps3 and all it wants to do is shut itself down tryed safe mode and none wants to help

any advise on what i should do?
