My mom called me downstairs to ask me why the ps3 wasn't working because it kept freezing on startup. I thought it just finally got messed up because its older. I decided to check my ps3 just cuz. And it turns out same thing is happening to me. Why would 2 ps3's in different rooms both freeze when they are starting up? My ps3 is 2 months old so I hardly think its broken. Cant even get to the main menu on it

Use Safe Mode. As far as both freezing I'd guess a network problem or coincidence. If you're cencerned about the 2 month old PS3 return it. You have a 1year warranty.

if the safe mode options don't work i would suspect a power surge issue..

Thats what I thought because it was raining the night before. The system works now but the brightness seems to change randomly
