Re: Avatar size is way too small

Any news about when this "near future" is coming? I find it pretty funny that they had the time for putting several Halloween icons on our profiles but they don't have the time for increasing the size for normal avatars.

Icons and avatars are separate entities. The Halloween ranks that you see and whatever goes with them (in this case colored PlayStation Network IDs and Halloween icons) are temporary treats for the PlayStation Community Forums. They don't have anything to do with avatars. =P

i always wondered why the actual avatar images were so large yet they are always scaled down so small everywhere, even on our PS3's.

Same here. Only place where it wasn't scaled was back when LBP had its own forum.

The mobile version has 5x5 or 7x7 avatars. Those should be bigger too...

The EU Forums has the ability to change your forum avatar.

But I prefer whatever I chose as my PSN avatar.

So do these forums. But for what ever reason the NA branch doesn't like the idea of us using different avatars on the forums, while the EU branch has no problem with it. As a result the feature has been turned off for us on the NA forums.

I'm also not sure why avatars are sized the way they are. Normally avatars are 100x100. Lithium supports a wide number of sizes, but Sony has chosen to keep them small.
