No, but they tried to raise money to make a sequel earlier this year. They needed around 400k and got over 3 million in donations but it didn't work out when they found out they needed more than that to make the game 
Homestuck's kickstarter...omfg. I doubt Crash fans would raise so much in such a short time like they did.
It's just to show that fans will do whatever it takes. Even if Psychonauts 2 might not be a thing, it did show that as an unsuccessful game, it has a huge following who are willing to support.

Absolutely NOT. I will not pay money to have someone make something, then pay AGAIN to download it. The game has a much smaller fanbase than most here realize. What could we even make? 20k? 5k? The game has a publisher for a reason. These kickstarter games tend to be independent developers without publishers to fund the project. Sony must do their own job.
