Good Cole can't turn either.

Dante does have down square though.

But his square chain doesn't end in a crumple all the time.  And really I wasn't trying to state that they're equal, merely that they both can't reverse.

@King Cobra:
Fair enough. I forgot about the Coles. Tremor IS his down square though. I also mentioned his up square. They're both bad options, but it can trip people up sometimes.

Kinda sad though, when Ratchet can turn his square chain, but a melee-oriented character can't, lol.

If he can cancel on whiff, that would make Dante able to zone with his normals a lot more and just be able to throw out his squares as anti-approaches. This would be a decent buff.

However, if you make him safe on block too, then he just became a brain dead easy character and the safest one in the game.

^ This, sadly.
Playing Dante can be really intense, always weighing risk versus reward. As much as I complain about him, I think his weaknesses appeal more to me than his strengths.

I'm not a big Dante player but I'd say that tremorr (his axe) is a better option then just stoping after you've been blocked or someone's behind you. I think it's kinda odd that he can't turn when his animation after is so slow.

^ Oh, well obviously. I just said it was a bad option, not that standing there would be better.
Osiris after air dash cancel and first hit of ground Osiris are really his only good combo starters unless you can predict well with his Rebellion.
