We don't want even more Nintendo fanboys on the forums, and Raiden is cool. Even though Snake is cooler.

Basically, it's because some believe that Solid Snake or Big Boss deserve to be in over Raiden. However,  Raiden is no doubt a very deserving character.

Does it even matter? Just because Raiden got a new look in mgs4, he didn't change as a character. There isn't a new and old Raiden, Raiden is Raiden, Dante is Dante, I don't understand the hate just because of a costume change.

kudos to you sir, Raiden is starting to become a star especially after everyone saw how much of a real badass dude he was in mgs4, im so happy he is getting his own game and hopefully their will more games of him. Raiden is one of the strongest characters in the mgs universe if not thee strongest we are previliged to be playing as this cyborg ninja

@miamiheatowns Dude I don't hate Dante at all, actually him and Raiden will be my mains next to Kratos, but you have to realize that DmC Devil May Cry is a reboot, which means it is in no way affiliated with the mainstream Devil May Cry series, therefore the Dante in this game isn't the same as the original. Whereas Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is a spin-off of Metal Gear Solid 4. That's why Raiden from MGS4 is the same Raiden from MGR:R.
