**bleep**. You're not kidding, aren't you? The only loop (with a burst) I know requires a certain item.

Your right about Jak however there are other things that make him suck that other mains will never see or understand. Most Jak mains don't know how he was in the old build so there opinion on him now will always be lacking and insufficient.

 

In addition to what you already listed, he lost all his guns old effects, range and speed was nerfed on just about every weapon and as you said they all have slow start ups. Jak overall is facutally not balanced.

 

When a character like Jak has no counters or gun effects then he's suppose to get buffs in other fields. Thats what SB said. When a character is nerfed in one field then there buffed in others but Jak recieved no such thing. His mobility was nerfed by his ability to Jetboard twice in midair was taken away yet instead of an increase in something else even more of his arsenal gets overnerfed.

 

Jak has no advantages, no tricks no counters, bad ap gain to an extent, is bad for time matches, level 2 hitbox is overrated, etc.

 

Jak's Arc Wielder use to push enemies forward the opposite way. Now it pushes enemies up which destroyes the total Ap gain and no it cannot be combo'ed into with the Peace maker or anything else AP wise. Gun needs more range as well as its original effect.

 

Gyro Burster use to stun enemies when under fire. Now it just grants you AP with a short duration and pathetic defense. A buff it needs is either defense or to actually slow enemies down under fire instead of stun because this gun is suppose to be jak's strongest yellow mod known for its high cycle rate of fire and damage. With that said I highly recommend it gets an addition of slowing down enemies under fire. Its not like Jak has anything else that turns the tides in battle moveset wise. Drake has his tranquilizer, Sly has his confuse bomb and Ratchet has his Sniper, etc so yeah.... Jak right now just looks like a not hard worked on character..

 

Mass Inverter. Yeah im just going to say this gun was nerfed in range, special effect, and duration. It didn't need all those aspects nerfed about it.. basically sucks now. Needs its range back and duration. Special effect is the aspect that made it OP so range and duration buff along with a 5AP buff totalling 10AP. Jak is not a heavy combo hitting character so its not like if you hit a combo off the MI it would grant you like 60AP.

 

Needle Lazer was nerfed in range and speed. Ill admit it deserved a nerf but not the way SB did. They took it overboard. In its current state its only good for close up range, not even mid range. Now thats sad. With its current range it needs a buff in speed and a 5 additional Ap gain.

 

Peace Maker has a bit of a start up and a while to use it again afterwards. It needs to grant 10 AP not 5 because of that. Additional enemies when hit with this gun is only 1 more Ap so its not balanced AP wise at all.

 

Wave Concussor. HOW THE HELL DOES a fully charged WC give you the same amount of AP as the not fully charged version!? Fully charged version obviously needs a 5-10 AP buff.

 

Beam Reflexor. Gun was true to the series and everything and needed no nerfs. The beam use to reflex off enemies. Now it doesn't at all. This gun was also nerfed in range and special effects. Gun needs an AP buff similar to the blaster since the BR is suppose to be stronger then the blaster and needs its original effects returned.

 

Level 2 Air hitbox is not big enough along with the duration. Air dodging close up through a Dark Bomb in Jak's case should be impossible.

 

Level 1 should have more width.

 

Level 3 more range or speed on the Flash Freeze.

 

Jak's Punch needs a 5 AP gain buff and they need to take away that insane vulnurable moment it leaves you in after an enemy blocks or dodge. Also I think an uppercut should be allowed to be performed even f the punch doesn't connect like in his game series anyway.

 

Just like Jak's punch, Jak's JetBoard attack needa a 5AP buff.

 

Jak's Dive Attack should hit enemies on his way falling down(Like Sly), but only receives half the AP of the ground version.

 

I may be missing some more things...

Raiden is op a noob character at its finest. His dive kick is safe on block? His dash attack has wonky attributes, he can mc off of one button, level 2 is basically a level 3 gains a **bleep**load of ap, and he is fast . Now in a fighter with health bars it would balance if he had low hp, but guess what it doesn't matter if you pic raiden, kratos, or drake you have a 75% chance of winning. He is basically dante without the risk and all the rewards. With that being said I'm gointo back to real fighting games now. Persona, marvel, SF, ttt2, you know games that are cheap but reward high level play and don't just toss you into the cold, because a character either has a better super attack,  moves, mobility blah blah

Does it involve down square? Because that's the only loop I know and it's hard to pull off.
