So my partner and I were playing 2v2 matches the other day when we came upon that game-breaking bug where you're anybody BUT the character you selected. Now, during the public beta, this problem could be overlooked because, well, it was a BETA. Surely this issue would be fixed during the full game (that we paid full price for). Unfortunately, this isn't the case.
Now this isn't a thread complaining about that bug, especially since it isn't often (though I do wish SuperBot would look into it. I'm sure they are). My question is, what do you usually do when that happens? Do you finish the match or do you quit? My partner and I don't believe in quitting. So we decided to continue the match. It was just funny how the guys on the other end thought they were totally owning us (especially since our character ranks are high -- for 2 days ago at least). And off all characters, they decided to give us complex characters like Sly Cooper and Sir Dan! I've only used Sly once in the public beta and my partner, I doubt she ever used Sir Dan. But we took the loss like champs! Haha!
What do you guys usually do when this happens?
It depends on who I get. If I get somebody I'm kind of good with, I'll continue the match. If I get stuck with Toro or Nathan Drake, I quit
Patches the Hyena (Dark/Demon's Souls) for All-Stars! His level three could have the player leave the match, enter a random match, and get one-hit-one-kill's on everybody! xD
Characters I've been randomed into but done well with:
Characters where it didn't go so well:
Regardless though, I'll stick with it and learn something from the experience.
This bug happened to me and my friend earlier. We selected Dante and Drake, but instead got Sly and PaRappa. Our opponents were Dante and Raiden. Long story short, we ended up owning them. I went 5-2 and my friend went 4-1. So my advice is make the best of it. And you never know how good you find yourself to be with different characters. I figured out that I can just take care of things with Sly. Love using him, hate playing against him.
