@cobbys2012ps

Your 75% wrong. Microsoft didn't ruin the generation except their crappy Xbox Gold Member. Why can't they allow people to play online for a stupid subscription? Two things I hate xbox is their subscription and RROD (which doesn't happen happen when I first got it). I don't hate Microsoft but I hate their greedy online subscription. I prefer free membership.

The Wii-U and PS3 will complement each other, if anything.

The Wii U will not sell all that well. The hardcore market doesn't care about Nintendo at this point, and Nintendo seemed to put more emphasis on them and less on the casual market, which is the one that would possibly buy the Wii U. With one market left relatively in the dark, and the other being focused too much on, I can't see it doing well, as much as I'd like to see it succeed.

The wii u will not sell as well as the wii. Why? Well because gran parents aren't going to buy it. The wii sold as well because everybody wanted it. Now, only the hardcore Nintendo which I am one of. So yes, it will be popular but not as much as the wii.

Re: WII U

Honestly, even though the Wii U is featuring more big-budget third-party titles this time around, the audience is still radically different from that of the PS3 or Xbox 360, so there isn't really room for a fair comparison.

As for my personal opinion, though... I'm sad to say I'll be passing on the Wii U this time around, and this is coming from a Nintendo lover who has owned practically every major console from them.  The Nintendo 64 and GameCube were pretty much my favorite consoles of all time; I felt a bit alienated by the Wii's motion controls, but I gave Nintendo a pass for trying something different.  Now that they're practically doing the same thing again, neglecting even more of their beloved franchises (Star Fox, anyone?), and spiraling deeper into the "family" mindset, I just don't see the point anymore.

On the bright side... it's helped me rekindle my love for PlayStation! Smiley Very Happy

Wii U is most likely going to fail. No one outside the hardcore gamer knows what it is
