Video Game Awards 2012

46 replies 617 views Edited Oct 14, 2012
I think that I've finally accepted the fact that on November 20th PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will launch with 20 playable characters. Now, having said that, I believe Sony will make a big deal about the downloadable characters for this game simply because any characters that would potentially become available for download would need to be huge. Now please don't say, "SuperBot said that they aren't planning any downloadable content yet, they want to get as much on the Blu-ray as possible." because "possible" is what Sony and third-party dictate if you get what I mean.

Now, to the main point, the Video Game Awards are approaching fast and it is to be televised after PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale releases. Also, for anyone who doesn't know, the VGAs have been playing on the channel Spike every year for about 10 years now so if you haven't heard of it then you are informed now.

Sony, in the past few years, has always debuted pretty big trailers at the VGAs. We saw UNCHARTED 2, God of War III, UNCHARTED 3, and The Last of Us all get debut trailers at the Video Game Awards so if Sony wants to show us something big like Crash Bandicoot or Cloud Strife for DLC, we'd find out at the Video Game Awards 2012.

Also, the 2012 VGAs will be held Friday, December 7 at the Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California.

Who else is in Culver City, California and has affiliations with Sony?
SuperBot Entertainment.

Okay,I'm tired of the people saying "I've finally accepted 20 characters.." or "Just 20 characters is lame" and so on.

Omar Kendall hinted more character on disc when he was asked "Is the final roster counting 20 char?".He replied "I'm...I don't think I'm allowed to answer this."

P.S: PASBR for game of the year 2012!! Smiley Very Happy

I do not think that Sony would have a reveal trailer in the VGA`s just for some DLC characters. I`m sure it is very expensive to advertise your stuff in the commercials, let alone the actual show. It could happen though.

I'm not disappointed in the roster being 20 characters and I don't think it's lame. I can't wait to play as Sir Daniel Fortesque, Raiden, Sackboy, Jak and Daxter, and so on but I really, really need Crash Bandicoot in this game.

He's my favorite video game character of all time.

I think if there are potential DLC characters that would warrant a reveal trailer and could potentially have a big impact on sales (i.e. trailer of a highly requested character), then I think an announcement at the VGAs is pretty likely. Either way, I'd just love to hear "Here comes a new challenger" at least one more time...*wipes away tear*

"Here Comes A New Challenger... Snake!"

*Old Snale kneels down on one knee and put two figures to ear and says*

"Kept you waiting, huh?"
