I can't speak for the whole product yet (considering I've only unlocked a few skills as of yet) but there's a lot of variety. There's a ton of side missions and activities that pop up on your map as soon as you boot and travel (think Skyrim). Then there's variety in both missions & the way you tackle them - sneak in, go guns blazing, set a locked up tiger free, drive right into your objective or just blow everything up, it's all upto you lol. Skyrim with guns pretty much sums it up right if you want a quick summary.
