pmarc thanks for the reply, but the headphones I was using do not have mics.
Although I did notice that the headphones I was using were noise cancelling headphones. So I tried out 4 different headphones, 2 non-noise cancelling worked fine and the 2 noise cancelling headphones would stop the microphone from working.
Ironically enough one of the noise cancelling headphones was a Sony product.
I'm going to move this to the Vita sub forum as it's an issue with the hardware itself rather than PSASBR. (The video recording would not accept noise with noise cancelling headphones plugged in)
