333 there actually is a LOT wrong with their online modes. I still get put as a different character than i picked, it freezes when looking for opponents frequently, I think the ranking system is HORRIBLY flawed. The reason the mode is called ranked is because you're supposed to face off against people near your level... not get matched with some **bleep** holes who just spam one move and are a much higher level than you so you just get put into a losing slump and drop lower and lower in rank. That's something that would be an easy fix.
