I main bd too, hes really good, but his problem is lack of a descent lv1, and special moves are what defines a winner....imo, in live match hes pro, but on timed he suck. B for live match C for timed.

I kind of focused the list on timed (ranked matches) as I consider them the way the game was "intended" to be played. Whether that is true or not is another discussion.

I should also mention that the list really breaks down as follows:

S = Significantly above average

A = Above average

B = Average

C = Below Average

D = Significantly below average

Roughly anyway.  The average tier for the list right now is B, reinforcing the average assessment for that tier.

Alright, you win, Big Daddy is below average.

I'm going to go cry now.

Haha I don't want to win (Although I don't mind making people cry muwahaha).  I find that tier lists, and more importantly the discussion around them is one of the best ways to learn more about the game, and the characters.

I know how you feel, personally I really wanted Heihachi to be higher tier, tried and tried to justify it, but I just couldn't (he is one of my favorite characters in the game).

@johngie

You play both BD and Radec right, and it sounded like you felt Radec was worse than BD?  Any particular reasons there?

Okay, here is the most important question: What mode is this tier list for: FFA, 1v1 or 2v2? The tier list changes radically depending on the mode. Based on what you have I would assume this is an FFA list (In which case I still think Toro, BD and Dan are better than that). However if this were for 1v1 or 2v2 this would be just plain wrong. If it is a 1v1 tier list, then I will state my reasons and also ask you to please consolidate this into the 1v1 tier list discussion thread.

That is covered in the first post, but the primary focus is 2v2 with an emphasis on ranked matches.

Feel free to point out characters you feel are wrong and why. I am looking for feedback Smiley Happy

This is an inaccurate way of making a tier list. Different advantages will be better or worse than others as well as those advantages working better against certain characters but not others.

A matchup chart is better.

Each of the criteria is weighted slightly differently, and we don't have anywhere near enough match-up data to begin building a match-up chart. In typical fighting game communities those charts are built based on observation of high level matches between character experts.

No tier list is perfect, this is just a starting point and a way to generate constructive discussion.
