the gameplay its still will be the same no matter how many bugs, errors, little content it has.. arguing about the gameplay thats is different from the beta and the final games is just plain stupid.
If the guy had put a bit more thought into what he was gonna say before the video I think I'd be less annoyed. Inbetween his constant drivel of; "smash brothers does it better", "cool story bro" and enough potty language to make someone with torrets seem normal, he does make some valuable points.
However this game is trying to be original, it's trying to shake up the old formula of what we're used to with fighting games. It might prove to be succesful, it may also be a flop but I commend Superbot for doing it this way instead of just following suit.
Well then I apologize for assuming that. However, I'll admit that I haven't played some myself, but there have been games with vast beta changes. For example, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. The protagonist was originally supposed to be Simon Belmont and the game was suppose to take place in Dracula's castle. Instead, we got a brand new protagonist and story, along with exploring vast landscapes beyond the castle.
Another example is Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I. A beta was leaked online which showed multiple "errors" such as running animation, forced level gimmicks, and a mine cart and casino mini-game levels. Due to massive fan feedback, the two levels were replaced with two all new levels, the running animation was altered, you could run past the screen at the end of levels, etc.
So yeah, betas can really only scratch the surface of the final product. For this game, I don't see much change happening besides character balancing, fixing glitches, and maybe altering the levels a TINY bit, but yeah, that's it. As for games in general, lots of changes happen with betas all of the time. It's practically common knowledge.
By the way, just call me Count for short.
