Chances are he's an unlockable costume, though I would find it hilarious if all he has is the original Dante's red coat the same way he has Vergil's blue coat and his unlockable costume ends up being the new Vergil.

There's actually a scene in the new DmC where a white wig flies onto Dante's head and he looks in the mirror and says "not in a million years."
