They may not be the prettiest menus but they seem to resemble early Playstation aesthetics. The menu has a retro Playstation feel to me.

I'd like to complain about this comment not ending with a question mark.

Why do I care about the menus? The same reason you decided to post on this forum and complain about my post, you CARE about this game... and I do too.
Playstation Allstars is a fun game, and something we've been waiting to play for a long time. The gameplay is solid for the most part, and I love how each character has their own move set that's totally different from each other... that's a concept that even Smash Bros had a hard time wrapping their heads around (Captain Falcon & Ganondorf).
I don't want to compare Smash Bros to Allstars, but someone mentioned that the first Smash had bland menus too... yes, but that game came out on N64, in 1999... not on PS3 in 2012. Actually looking back at the first Smash... I think I might like those menus a bit better to be honest.
I'm an artistic person, I like to design things, and from an artistic view point, Allstars menus look really bad and generic. On the character select screen, there are two spots at the top of the screen on either side that were wasted space, so they pasted boxed pictures of the stars there like ads... I've only seen that design in flyers and phonebook ads, not a PS3 game that just came out.
Bottom line... yes the game is really fun, I cant argue with that... but I cant help but feeling like i'm playing an unfinished game, or a game that's in beta testing. Most of you don't agree with me, and that's fine.
Its just my opinion as a gamer, so just ignore me and go enjoy the **bleep** out of the game.
