I think for a game like this it isnt enough, 24-26 minimum, everyone is going to be comparing this to SSB so they need to have a solid list, even if 20+ is a lot of characters for a first fighting game there selection of 20 is puzzeling
Which is exactly my main point. Who cares if it's just 20 at least make it a dang good 20. I can even think of a better 5 1st parties to replace the 5 bad characters. Even SSB had an awesome roster of 12 with it's only failing point being Jigglypuff. Persona 4 Arena has 12 characters but their so awesome, different, and well thought out that nobody gives a flying crap about the size.
And also its superbots first game. If they put like 40 characters in how the hell are they going to make a sequel. Look at smash bros. Started out small then got bigger. People say 24 is small. Well thats the point. Start out small then every game you make will increase. Like if superbot makes a sequel it will be like 48 characters probably. then after that even bigger. Its just how the gaming industry works.

^ This, Jrpgs are what helps sell the system too. (ex FF7 help sold the psone, Persona 4 helped sell the VIta)
20 characters is fine. I would buy the game day one if it had 20. People who compare it to brawl are stupid it should be compared to the first smash bros since this is the first all stars battle royale
That doesn't make any sense
It shouldn't be compared to at all, lol.
The first Smash Bros was on N64 and is about 13isj years old. It had 12 characters due to techincal limitations. I'm sure they can get more than 20 on a PS3
Wasn't SSB1 in development for two years, as well? This game could hold more than the N64, yes, but in the same amount of development time this team has nearly doubled SSB1's roster size. Also, they have to get everything on the Vita as well, so that should be the standard, not the PS3.
Doesn't the PSV MK9 have the exact same number of characters as the PS3 MK9?
I never said that it was difficult to get everything on Vita, I said that they have to get the whole game on the Vita. 4GB is a lot different than 50GB when it comes to data storage, and saying "they can get a lot on PS3" doesn't work when they have to make sure they can get it on Vita..

Superbot's overall choices of characters for this game so far is pretty mediocre
How so? You are saying Kratos, R&C, J&D, Sly, Nathan Drake, Sackboy are mediocre when they are the biggest ps franchise
I Lol'd at this thread. You do realize that there is still 2 more months to go until release right?SuperBot has not once said that they are almost done announcing characters. If they have, then show me where they have said that and when they have said that. I would have understood this thread if it was October 22 and we still had 20 characters, but 2 months is a long time, and PSAS is still in its final stage of development.
Also, Redfield, going off of assumptions and saying that the N64 may have been harder to develop on is just stupid. Developers themselves have called the PS3 one of the most difficult consoles to work on, ever. That's why multiplat games are always ported from 360 to PS3.
Exactly there is some high tech **bleep** in the ps3 that the military made a supercomuter out of. Its a coplex system to work with
I seriously wish people would stop comparing PSASBR to the first Smash Bros game because they're both the first ones.
The only reason Smash 1's roster was small is becuase they ran out of time and couldn't fit any more characters onto the N64 cartridge. They originally wanted Mewtwo, King Dedede, Meowth, Peach, Pit and Bowser n the first one which would have brought the roster to 18 characters in a game from 1999. Hell, the probably would have added more than 18 is they could. This is 2012 and PSASBR only has 20. That's a little pathetic.
