Look im a game designer in college and all i can say is that 20-26 characters is a lot for a first game.
20 characters is fine. I would buy the game day one if it had 20. People who compare it to brawl are stupid it should be compared to the first smash bros since this is the first all stars battle royale
Lol you want to compare a 1999 game which started a genre with a 2012 game which follows its steps? Isn't it a little bit too easy? Like comparing LittleBigPlanet Karting with Super Mario Kart... Let's see which is the biggest.
Maybe it means that I'm a fanboy but I love Sony's mascots way better than Nintendo's. If they reveal, at least 6 more characters it'll be noticeably superior. If it reached 30 though... it will be the best roster in any fighting game ever...
I think for a game like this it isnt enough, 24-26 minimum, everyone is going to be comparing this to SSB so they need to have a solid list, even if 20+ is a lot of characters for a first fighting game there selection of 20 is puzzeling
Which is exactly my main point. Who cares if it's just 20 at least make it a dang good 20. I can even think of a better 5 1st parties to replace the 5 bad characters. Even SSB had an awesome roster of 12 with it's only failing point being Jigglypuff. Persona 4 Arena has 12 characters but their so awesome, different, and well thought out that nobody gives a flying crap about the size.
Dude... how ca you not compare tis to smash and I never said that it was the same game. They are the same genre and thats like saying comparing bf3 and mw3 is silly. Don't act like you didn't compare this game with smash also when it was first announced.
You want to know the surprising bit? I didn't compare it. I held back my tongue knowing full well the problems that would go along with it. Sorry, I think before I speak. I suggest you do the same. By the way, comparing MW3 to BF3 is silly and many are inclined to agree. Have a nice day.
