So it seems SB had to lay off some employees. Whether this is due to the game not doing as well as expected or for other reasons has not been made clear. Just thought I'd share.
This is no big deal. It is for those people laid off and I pray they find another job, but for development it really is not a big deal.
The game was made, now their next game is in concept/pre-pre-alpha. There are many jobs that are useless to pay for that early on in development. It is rather commonplace to layoff people after a project ends simply because they are not needed for months.
