Why not both?

I love both series nearly equally, and I also enjoy my PS3 and Wii U equally. Both could learn from the other in many ways, but I enjoy the depth of the many modes in brawl, but love the depth of the gameplay in all-stars. Sure I would love to see deeper gameplay (and maybe some cool combos) in brawl and I would love a full story mode and some more options for modes in all-stars. They're different games that excel in different areas and I love them both.

Whoever mentioned the tripping thing in brawl is very right. The dumbest thing ever. As far these games go unless Nintendo steps up the online service I will never buy a wii u. The best thing all stars has going to me is the online. Even as raw as it is... I can still hope online with my brother and own in some 2v2

I will agree that tripping in brawl is complete stupidity.

Getting a WiiU just for Smash Bros 4 is just stupid. Seeing as how the WiiU has current gen graphics and is considered "Next gen".

Next gen my butt.

^This, the Wii U is only as good as the current gen.  When the next gen finally comes along it'll make Nintendo's console go to shame again.

The way I'm predicting it, Nintendo will always do this to gain an edge, when in reality, they aren't for the most part. As for the SSB thing, I was one of those who bought a Wii just for Brawl, and it was pretty worth it. Its a great game for local play. Whats with all the hate its getting though? Not that bad of a game, even though I could definitely say Melee was the best. Roy and Young Link FTW!

The real fun for BOTH SSB and PSASBR is playing 4 player offline.

Both game are equally amazingly fun if you have buddies playing 4 player offline. It doesn't matter too much as a "party game" whether it's SSB or this one.

When it comes to online, this game beats SSBB hands down.

So I wouldn't say its worth buying a Wii U for it

You had a chance to play the new Smash Bros before it as even oficially announced? Please, tell me how you came to the conclusion that it's not worth it and what new characters/stages they added.

Re: Super Smash Bros 4

I just dusted off my Wii after a whole year of hardcore PS3 games. And 2012 was definately the year of the Wii. DK country, 2 kirby games, goldeneye, Skyward Sword and Bit.Trip collection alone made the system worth it. Then Xenoblade Chronicles and The Last Story made it here, and I am impressed. So in retrospect, I found I enjoyed my wii this generation, in spite of abysmal console parity. And that will be my painful glare in the face for my decision of when (not if) I'll buy a WiiU.

this is me helping
